New Work
So here’s the most recent finished painting. Note to self, don’t paint springtime trees unless you want to spend a lot of time hunched over fiddly spindly branches! With each painting I’m trying to get better at creating the ‘impression’ of something rather than spending hours trying to paint it exactly as it is. I need to spend more back standing back from my work rather than close to it. I’m not much of an impressionist, but I think I still have a lot to learn from those styles about loosening up and becoming a bit more free
At least it was a bit of test of painting water, not something I’m used to, but a definite necessary string to my bow and something to explore more in the near future.
