October is charity month, with Art for Youth North and the Leeds Annual Art exhibition.

At the end of October I’ll be taking part in two very special charity run exhibitions, where the commission that normally goes to a gallery instead goes to the charities involved.

The first is Art for Youth North, taking place from Wednesday the 22nd of October to Saturday 25th of October at Queen Mary’s School, Topcliffe, in North Yorkshire (YO7 3BZ). The exhibition showcases both established and emerging artists, with works priced from £40 to £3000. With portfolio work and mystery pictures on sale as well, there’s plenty of opportunites to snap up a bargain as well as splash out if something catches your eye. For more info on the exhibition go to www.artforyouthnorth.co.uk, and to find out more about the work of the charity, helping today’s young people gain the skills they need for life, visit www.ukyouth.org.

The second exhibition is the renowned annual Art exhibition run by St Gemma’s hospice in Leeds. It runs  from Thursday 23rd of October to Sunday the 26th and takes places at Leeds Grammar School in Alwoodley, Leeds (Harrogate Road LS17 8GS). The exhibition is open daily 10am – 6pm (10-4 on Sunday) and it’s another fantastic opportunity to buy from a huge variety of art. I’ll be exhibiting several new pieces, including a couple of Christmassy ones! For more info go to www.st-gemma.co.uk.
