End of Summer painting frenzy!

So seeing as my last post was around Christmas, it’s quite obvious there’s been an enormous gap in my attentions to this website, and I’m now rather guiltily and hastily having an upload frenzy of all my latest work!

The beginning of 2014 was a real mixture of highs and awful lows, with the excitement of moving house weighed against the nasty shock and uphill struggle of serious illness in the family. But since the beginning of summer everything has been on a slow trajectory of improvement, and now that everything has been delivered for the Summer exhibitions, I’ve finally been able to sit down to sort the website.

To celebrate I thought I’d post this painting from a few weeks ago. It was commissioned as a wedding gift for a really lovely couple, and it’s a bit of a departure from my usual subject matter as it depicts a beautiful place in New Zealand called ‘Doubtful Sound’ (they do have some really wonderful names over there).

To see the rest of my latest paintings, including the ones currently on display in galleries and exhibitions, have a peek at the ‘Yorkshire’ section under ‘Paintings.’
