Summer-Autumn 2021

It’s taken a very long time for things to feel anything like normal, but exhibitions are finally back on, art lovers are able to see pieces in person, and the sun is shining, which always helps things to feel brighter!

There are two weeks left of the Art Showcase in the Bath House at RHS Harlow Carr. This has always been one of my favourite summer exhibitions, in such beautiful surroundings with the gardens full of summer blooms (and the obligatory trip to Betty’s to round off a lovely day out!). The layout of the Bath House gallery has been changed slightly to help people distance, but it has worked really well, making the space flow nicely and feel more open.

When August arrives things will be very busy at Art in the Mill as FEVA, Knaresborough’s Festival of Visual Arts gets underway. Art in the Mill have some of my originals on show – my current favourite is a large canvas of Filey Bay, they also have the full range of my prints, including the large floral prints.

October will see the return of Art For Youth North, after it, like so many other things, had to be called off in 2020. The exhibition supports UK Youth, a charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged young people across the UK. The exhibition takes place at Queen Mary’s School Topcliffe, and the organisers always do a fantastic job of hanging the work and creating a really special exhibition.
